So much to say...

Sophie Cruz

I cannot believe that April was the last time I posted on my blog. I guess I've been a wee bit busy. I gave birth on May 27th to a beautiful baby girl named Sophie Cruz. She's healthy and wonderful! Being a mom of two is obviously different that being a mom of one. I'm busy to say the least but it's so worth it. As stated in my previous postings I was on a photography break while on maternity leave. With that said, I'll be back up and running on September 1st.

I'm planning on doing a fall and winter mini session and will post dates for those in September. I've had so many inquiries in regards to scheduling shoots while I was on leave so I imagine my weekends will book up fast.

I've totally missed taking photographs! I did manage to squeeze in a mini shoot with Sophie! I'll post some photos above and below! xoxo K-

My clients rock my world!

Spring, flowers and labor

I love spring! Not too cold, not too hot. I was hoping to really live it up and take beautiful photos of cute kids running around in fields of daffodils but it's not going to happen. I unfortunately am in preterm labor. Right now I'm 32.6 weeks pregnant so this is no bueno!

No more photo shoots for me my friends. My goal is to pick back up in August. I just want to make sure that Sophie and I are healthy and strong. As long as everyone is happy and all is in order, I'll be back up and running.

Business has been booming. I've been booked every weekend! It's really been incredible. Several of my new clients have contacted me because of your referrals, so I thank you so much for that!

My Dr. told me that I must relax, so I'm really going to try to be a good girl and listen. I very much fulfill the trait of Type A so I find it hard to relax. For Sophie's sake I'm going to. I will hopefully post some photos of my last few sessions for you all to see!

I'm a tutu making fool!

Who knew! Photog by day, tutu maker by night! I made my first tutu and I chose to make a black one. I secretly want to try it on myself but Olivia was my first model instead of myself. I'm in love with it. I have tulle to make a red and pink one next.

The Best!

Last weekend I had two awesome shoots. The first one was for baby J who is now 6 months old. I had previously photographed him when he was just 8 weeks or so old. I had not seen him since. It's incredible to see the transformation that just a few months brings to a baby! Here are a few of my favorites from that shoot.


My second shoot was for the B family. I had gone to high school with mom and had not see her since we graduated. Now shes happily married with two beautiful children. Baby A is just 8 weeks old and his big sister M is 3-1/2. Here are my favorites from the day...

Blogging and giving thanks

I really thought I was going to be better at this whole blogging thing. I really had the inspiration when I started this. In fact I promised myself I would update my blog once a week. I guess I should have made that my New Years Resolution.

What's more important than the fact that I've been a poor poster is that I had a great 2008. I want to thank all of you for making my first year in business a real success! You motivated me, inspired me and really made me grow as a photographer. I have so many unfinished photography dreams that I cannot wait to fulfill with you in the future! So again, I thank you from the bottom of my heart and for giving me a chance!

This year will be a bit interesting. You may or may not know that I'm expecting my second child, another girl this summer. I'm due June 7th. I expect to be working until I give birth but will be taking a six week maternity leave from my photography duties. My goal is to resume business starting the second to last week of July.
