I'm a tutu making fool!

Who knew! Photog by day, tutu maker by night! I made my first tutu and I chose to make a black one. I secretly want to try it on myself but Olivia was my first model instead of myself. I'm in love with it. I have tulle to make a red and pink one next.

Last weekend I had two awesome shoots. The first one was for baby J who is now 6 months old. I had previously photographed him when he was just 8 weeks or so old. I had not seen him since. It's incredible to see the transformation that just a few months brings to a baby! Here are a few of my favorites from that shoot.


My second shoot was for the B family. I had gone to high school with mom and had not see her since we graduated. Now shes happily married with two beautiful children. Baby A is just 8 weeks old and his big sister M is 3-1/2. Here are my favorites from the day...

Blogging and giving thanks

I really thought I was going to be better at this whole blogging thing. I really had the inspiration when I started this. In fact I promised myself I would update my blog once a week. I guess I should have made that my New Years Resolution.

What's more important than the fact that I've been a poor poster is that I had a great 2008. I want to thank all of you for making my first year in business a real success! You motivated me, inspired me and really made me grow as a photographer. I have so many unfinished photography dreams that I cannot wait to fulfill with you in the future! So again, I thank you from the bottom of my heart and for giving me a chance!

This year will be a bit interesting. You may or may not know that I'm expecting my second child, another girl this summer. I'm due June 7th. I expect to be working until I give birth but will be taking a six week maternity leave from my photography duties. My goal is to resume business starting the second to last week of July.

Meow. Meow. Meow.

Two weeks ago I had a pet photography session. I photographed two cats for an absolute animal lover. The cats Rusty and Downey were saved by Jacquie and she has given them an awesome life. It was nice to photograph animals because they're a challenge. It makes you appreciate National Geographic photojournalists! Here are a few photos of Rusty and Downey.
